A Nashville crowd booed on Tuesday when Jill Biden said ‘only 3 in 10 Tennesseans are vaccinated’ as part of her tour of the South to reverse the low rate of getting shots in the arms. ‘Well, you’re booing yourselves!,’ the first lady told the audience as she appeared at the Ole Smoky Distillery alongside country star Brad Paisley and actress Kimberly Williams in a state where only 33 percent of people are fully vaccinated
But Biden’s visit to the pop-up clinic was missing what it needed the most – lines of people waiting to get their shot. Only about 10 people showed up at the clinic at the distillery while Biden was there. The vaccination center was in an outdoor beer garden. Inside the distillery was packed, however. Anyone who received a COVID shot was offered a free beer, which was served inside. A crowd had gathered to hear Biden speak and Paisley sing.
