Epic Games’ Fortnite is the talk of the town, and by town, I mean the whole gaming industry. Everyone and their cat knows that Fortnite Battle Royale is extremely successful across PC, consoles and even mobile devices, so much so that people want to get it banned and rappers want a piece of the pie for the use of their dance moves in the game.
So, we’ve established the game is massive, for those few who didn’t know, but just how much money is Epic Games raking in? A new report by market research firm, Superdata, as reported by GamesIndustry.biz, indicates that Fortnite has made over 1 billion Dollars from in-game purchases alone. Keep in mind that the report is only up until the end of May 2018, so that’s not counting June and part of July. This is also a combined total for all platforms, including mobile. Another mind-blow statistic revealed by the Superdata report is that gamers 700 million hours of battle royale content in May alone.
