A suspect was in custody after a high school shooting south of Houston, an assistant principal at Santa Fe High School said. The school district said on social media that “there have been confirmed injuries” but didn’t provide more details. Galveston County sheriff’s Maj. Douglas Hudson said units responded to reports of shots fired. He had no immediate details on whether anyone has been hurt. Santa Fe is a city of about 13,000 residents, located 30 miles southeast of Houston.
