A 10-year-old tourist has been left seriously injured after he plunged 100-feet off a railing at Niagara Falls. The boy had been sitting on the railing on the Canadian side of the falls so his mother could take a photo on Sunday afternoon. Police said the child had tried to adjust himself for the picture but lost his balance and fell into the gorge.
The boy, who was visiting from another country with his family, struck his head when he plummeted roughly 100-feet. Emergency services were called to the area near Horseshoe Falls at about 4.30pm. Rescuers were able to reach the child and stabilize him before he was airlifted to McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.
