2016 saw some pretty unusual men’s grooming trends. There was anti-grooming, which involved fake sweat and dishevelled bed hair. Then, there was Jon Snow-inspired hair perms and even the English rose look. But, 2017 is set to be even more unusual. Models at London Fashion Week’s TOPMAN show were sporting a decidedly odd aesthetic: fake dirt. The look consists of dirty and greasy hair and oily skin, designed to give one the look of having worked all day and clubbed all night. Models at the show wore oil in their hair to create the faux-greasy look. And, for the face, dark eyeshadow was dusted in random spots to give an un-showered appearance.
