Pilots tend to use their plane’s PA system for important announcements. These can range from letting passengers know about delays or problems to advising the cabin crew when the aircraft will be taking off and landing. But one pilot decided to add a little bit of humour to his flight from Bordeaux, France, to Dublin , Ireland, with his in-flight announcement today. The Aer Lingus pilot took the time to relay a surprise message to Sarah McCarry from her aunt in London.
“‘This is your captain speaking. We have received a message from London air traffic control.”‘If Sarah McCarry is onboard, your aunt who works there says ‘hello.”
“Only on an Irish flight.”
