This life size rhino cake can be seen at the ‘The Good Food & Wine Show’ in South Africa. What strikes you the most is just how realistic it looked – which is a huge testament to the ability of the pastry chef who created it. Wellington-based cake master, Dot Klerck used 35kg chocolate and 130kg of fondant to make it. The rhino cake was commissioned by the Rhinos in Africa Foundation as a way of raising funds for the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre which is home to eleven rhino orphans.
