The new iPhone 7 though. Apple’s new release is set to be completely waterproof. Tests on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have shown that the handsets are already virtually waterproof – with reports suggesting the devices were made secretly waterproof as a test ahead of the iPhone 7’s release. Apple is likely to announce the waterproofing as a feature of the iPhone 7 when the handset is released later this year.
Other features rumoured to come with the iPhone 7 include wireless charging, a reversible USB port, dual rear cameras with optical zoom, fingerprint recognition on the main display. The handsets will also have a thinner design and may do away with the home button, allowing for a bigger screen.
