Drive to a location, want to go for a run but don’t know what to do with your car keys? The Run Lock creators saw this issue of safe personal effect storage during runs as a solvable problem. They designed their portable, weather-resistant key safe to latch to any secure surface on a runner’s vehicle. The Run Lock can affix to roof racks, door handles, suspension coils, towing eyes, under a car’s body, anywhere that’s not dislodging from the car without major effort, and anywhere accessible enough that the runner will be able to enter the lock’s combination for stuff retrieval when it’s time to head back home. Run Locks have 10,000 possible 4-digit combinations, which users can set and reset as many times as they want. The device’s 3-step directions for use are as follows:
- Enter your 4-digit combination.
- Insert keys. Even the largest sets of luxury car and truck keys should fit within the 2.7″ long x 1.6″ wide x 1.2″ deep Run Lock internal dimensions.
- Secure the lock to a vehicle or other stable point.
I think this would also work as a safe alternative to keep a spare key in case one gets locked in the car. The run lock is $44.99 at runlock.com
