Lady Gaga slapped on the war paint and resorted to reverse psychology in her bid to take down Katy Perry when she fell behind in their heated chart war last night. Gaga issued a bizarre video that ordered her Little Monsters not to buy her comeback single. The bizarre tactic came as Perry, 28, steamed ahead and left Gaga for dead in the US iTunes charts. Perry’s new single Roar immediately leapt to No.2 on release as Gaga missed the top 10 altogether. Gaga’s limp start came as she rushed out her new track to force a pop showdown with Perry but insisted her hasty timing was caused by a ‘pop music emergency’ after her single was leaked online. Well aware she was losing the popularity contest in the charts, Gaga turned up in colourful face paint to match her single cover art work to mingle with fans in LA’s popular gay hot spot, West Hollywood. The 27-year-old then appeared naked under a flashing light with a glass shield over her face in a 47-second YouTube clip as negative messages flashed up about her career and comeback.
