Visual Goofs of TV Series “Homeland”

The hit Showtime series “Homeland” has millions of viewers across the world but no show is immune from visual goofs.  The storyline prominently features the Middle Eastern country of Lebanon where some of the pivotal scenes take places in the first three episodes but some eagle-eyed viewers noticed it must have been filmed in Israel.

scene where Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes, left, is chased through a market in Beirut featured signs in Hebrew, including a Coca Cola ad and the logo of the Jerusalem soccer team Beitar, right

Episode three culminates with an assassination attempt on the fictional terrorist mastermind Abu Nazir on Hamra Street in Beirut, but it was actually shot in Haifa, Israel.

Fans spotted blurred yellow Israeli license plates on vehicles in the show like the one seen on the bus.
