Big Blue Eyeball Washes Up on Florida Beach

State wildlife officials are trying to determine the species of a blue eyeball found by a man on Wednesday at Pompano Beach, north of Fort Lauderdale.    The eye is about the size of a softball.  Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg are analyzing the eye in order to figure out which marine animal it came from.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that this is an eye from a sword fish.  A fisherman must have cut the eye ball out and tossed it over board then it washed up on the beach.
